Saideep Hospital and Research Private Limited (“SHRPL”) welcomes you to its website and looks forward to a meaningful interaction with you. SHRPL provides services in partnership with its agents, affiliates, associates, representatives or other third parties (together referred to as “Partners”).

This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy“) applies to SHRPL (including Sahyadri Karad Hospitals Private Limited, Surya Hospitals Private Limited and Saideep Healthcare and Research Private Limited and explains how we collect, use, share, handle, process and protect personal information. This Privacy Policy shall be applicable to any person that accesses our website and/or services, or shares any personal information with us, including patients, visitors, suppliers, vendors, employees, consultants, retainers and staff, through website, emails, forms, interaction with our staff or any other means.

Your use of and access to the website, services or employment / engagement with us is subject to this Privacy Policy and our terms of use.

The terms ‘You’ or ‘Your’ refer to you as the User which includes users (registered or unregistered) of the website and/or services or persons who share personal information with us and the terms ‘We’, ‘Us’ and ‘Our’ refer to SHRPL.

  1. WHY THIS PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy is published in compliance with: (i) Section 43A of the Information Technology Act, 2000; and (ii) Regulation 4 of the Information Technology (Reasonable security practices and procedures and sensitive personal information) Rules, 2011 (“SPI Rules”).

This Privacy Policy states the following:

  1. The type of information collected from the Users, including sensitive personal data or information;
  2. The purpose of collection and usage of such information; and
  3. How and to whom we will disclose such information.
  4. COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Generally, the provision of services by us or your engagement with us require us to know who you are so that we can best meet your needs. When you access the services or otherwise engage with us, we may ask you to voluntarily provide us with certain information that personally identifies you or could be used to personally identify you. Without prejudice to the generality of the above, information collected by us from you may include (but is not limited to) the following:

  1. Contact data (such as your email address and phone number);
  2. Demographic data (such as your gender, your date of birth and your pin code); 
  3. Data regarding your usage of the services and history of the appointments and other transactions made by or with you through the use of services;
  4. Health or medical data (such as your past medical history and conditions, diagnostic reports, prescriptions and medication history);
  5. Aadhaar details;
  6. Insurance data (such as your insurance carrier and insurance plan); and
  7. Other information that you voluntarily choose to provide to us (such as information shared by you with us through emails or letters or otherwise, your work details, your family details)

The information collected from you by us may constitute ‘personal information’ or ‘sensitive personal data or information’ under the SPI Rules. Personal information is defined under the SPI Rules to mean any information that relates to a natural person, which, either directly or indirectly, in combination with other information available or likely to be available with a body corporate, is capable of identifying such person.

The SPI Rules further define “sensitive personal data or information” of a person to mean personal information about that person relating to:

  1. passwords;
  2. financial information such as bank accounts, credit and debit card details or other payment instrument details;
  3. physical, physiological and mental health condition;
  4. sexual orientation;
  5. medical records and history;
  6. biometric information;
  7. information received by body corporate under lawful contract or otherwise;

Information that is freely available in the public domain or accessible under the Right to Information Act, 2005 or any other law will not be regarded as sensitive personal data or information.

  1. USE OF INFORMATION

We may collect and use personal information inter-alia for the following purposes:

  • to provide and manage services;
  • in operating and managing our business operations;
  • for identification and ‘know your customer’ (KYC) checks;
  • for registration, to communicate about medical appointments, laboratory and radiology investigation reports, processing insurance claims, to process payments and manage billing, and other related purposes;
  • in managing our interactions with you and facilitating communication with you, including concerning your employment or engagement with us;
  • to manage employment relationship, maintain employee records, process payroll, provide benefits, data auditing, data verification as required by government, or administrative bodies and other employment related purposes;
  • to evaluate and manage supplier and vendor relationship, invoicing, payments, communicate about business transactions and other supplier and vendor related purposes;
  • to ensure compliance requirement with labor laws, tax regulations, and to comply with other legal and regulatory requirements;

  • for conducting data analytics to improve the quality of our services and streamline internal processes;

Collection and processing of Aadhaar: We may collect Aadhaar information from you for identification, verification, authentication and KYC purposes, insurance processing, for government scheme benefits, employment benefits, regulatory and legal reporting or filing and/ or as required by applicable law. By sharing your Aadhaar details, you hereby consent to the collection, use, storage and sharing (including with insurance companies and third-party administrators and authorities) of Aadhaar information for such purposes. Please note that it is not mandatory for you to do so, and you may give other identification documents such as a PAN card, passport, or driving license. However, we may require Aadhaar information from you to comply with the requirements of applicable law. We shall inform you when such collection is mandatory.

  1. CONSENT

By choosing the opt-in option on the website and thereafter by providing us your personal information or availing our services or by making use of the facilities provided by the website, or by providing information to us through website, emails, forms, interaction with our staff or otherwise, or in connection with your employment or engagement with us, or availing our services, it is agreed by you that you have, freely consented to the collection, use, storage, processing, disclosure and transfer of your personal information (including Aadhaar information) in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy and any amendments thereof.

You acknowledge that you have provided your personal information out of your free will and after understanding how it will be used. You also consent that the collection, use, storage, processing, disclosure and transfer of any personal information shall not cause any wrongful loss to you, if it is done in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy. However, we shall not be liable for any loss that may happen to you owing to the provision of wrongful personal information by You.

You may choose to not provide any information to us, or withdraw your consent in writing at any time and we shall have the option not to provide the services for which information was sought or provided.

  1. SHARING AND TRANSFERRING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Once you have freely consented to share your personal information (including Aadhaar information) with us, you authorize us to exchange, transfer, share, part with all or any of your personal information (including Aadhaar information) with our associates / affiliates / agents / third party service providers / partners / banks and financial institutions or any other persons, for the purposes specified under this Privacy Policy or as may be required by applicable law.

  1. USE OF COOKIES

We may store temporary or permanent ‘cookies’ on your computer. You can erase or choose to block these cookies from your computer. You can configure your computer’s browser to alert you when we attempt to send you a cookie with an option to accept or refuse the cookie. If you have turned cookies off, you may be prevented from using certain features of the Website. In the course of serving advertisements or optimizing services to its Users, we may allow authorized third parties to place or recognize a unique cookie on the User’s browser/device. We do not store personally identifiable information in the cookies. Further, we do not exercise control over the sites displayed as search results or links from within its services.
